Great performance of the team Gsport – Armas in the Titan Race! On the Wolfbike Ingravity XX1 Gold SRAM our sportsmen flew over the dunes of the desert. We started in Boumalne Dades and will end in the race, after 6 stages, in Madrid.
The former professional cyclist Manuel ‘Triki’ Beltrán ended in Madrid the 13th edition of Gaes Titan Desert by Garmin. This is the sixth time in which the rider from Jaen region ends such a mythical race, and third in which he ends the race in the ten first classified riders. Beltrán, who has rode in the team Naviera Armas for third consecutive year, has endured the most complete and strict in the history of this race, with a distance of 619 kilometres and 7.519 metres of accumulated positive unevenness, in six exigent stages.
Triki went to the desert joined by Naviera Armas, and so did Víctor Manuel Fernández, his mate during the rest of the season in the Wolfbike Team, directed by the former professional cyclist Juan Rodrigo Arenas. Fernández took part in this race for his very first time, and ended in the in the 32nd place. In this Gaes Titan Desert by Garmin 600 riders have taken part in it, and the Tour de France winner Cadel Evans was present on the first day of the race. The rider from Jaén had a great performance but, unfortunately, a flat tyre, took away any chance to fight for a stage victory.
