MADRID-TARIFA WITH KILOMETRE ZERO

MADRID-TARIFA CON EL KILÓMETRO CERO

One more adventure with our family of El Kilómetro Cero who have once again brought together 100 participants ready to enjoy pedalling and cycling kilometres on a gravel bike. This time with destination Tarifa, the southernmost point of the Peninsula. The objective? To reclaim the "return to travel as before", where the important thing was to reach the destination and let yourself be surprised along the way.

This experience began, as usual, in the capital. Specifically from the Puerta del Sol in Madrid. The 100 participants had to reach Tarifa in less than 100 hours. At 7:00 on 28 May, the challenge began.
The route was promising, 753 kilometres and 11,500 metres of accumulated positive altitude gain, with the safety of the runners always a priority. In this event we could see not only cyclists of all ages, but also professionals such as Óscar Pujol, professional road cyclist and his partner César Mato, who completed the route in just 44 hours. We also had in our ranks our bandit, José María Sánchez, from SCOTT Cala Bandida, SCOTT ambassador Paola Zahonero and film actor Joel Gómez Bosqued.

What is Km0?

Kilometre cero was born from the idea of connecting the capital of the country with the furthest cardinal points of the peninsula (Finisterre, Hondarribia, Cap de Creus and Tarifa). Always promoting sustainable mobility, with safe routes suitable for everyone, so that everyone can enjoy cycling.

Km0 is not a race, Km0 is a journey. A journey that connects four languages and four cultures (Galician, Basque, Catalan and Spanish), four routes open 365 days a year to do them whenever and however you want.

Next adventure?
